QUICK RESPONSE TO WIDESPREAD PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCIES
Fourteen Bay Area Public Health departments needed a website to assist in distributing medicine to the greater Bay Area public in the event of a large-scale public health emergency such as a bioterrorism event or a disease outbreak. The site needed to be quick loading and be able to handle sudden surges in traffic.
A drug dispensing screening algorithm was developed for users to select the appropriate medicine based on their health conditions. Administrative functions were developed to quickly move the site from standby to emergency mode with full reporting capabilities. Site has a robust interface for content and document management, and supports three languages.
